Rosenwerth Mercedez Benz Fashion Week 2012

Last week Rosenwerth were the opening show at the Mercendez Benz Fashion Week 2012 and they kicked off their Summer collections with beautiful layered, virginal whites tailored into dresses and separates. Marzipan jewellery accentuated their white collection with romantic over long pearl and ribbon necklaces accented with woven crochet flowers.

Summer 2012 Preview

White is nearly always a Summer favorite and this season is no different in it's hue only it's styling. You can go for structured tailoring with clean lines and simple shapes or the more feminine option which demands lots of anglaise, soft silks, lace, and romance. Or you can be a daredevil and combine the romance with serious manly tailoring.  Hmmm...sounds like a match made in heaven in any case. Ok, enough of my silly ramblings about frocks, frills, lace and love.  But in case you need visuals, see here Kate Moss in the Louis Vuitton Spring collection for 2012. She looks innocent enough but really she came onto the catwalk smoking a cigarette. Wild child.

Hampton Court Flower Show 2012

So what do flowers and jewellery have in common? I can think of  lots of answers to that question now that I am asking it..hmm, but what springs to mind in a most obvious way is the word decoration and adornment. We love flowers in our houses and our gardens in the same way that we can't resist the shine and glint of jewel and bead.

So the next question is what does Marzipan have in common with The Hampton Court Flower Show? Well, we are there as it happens. There is the Country Living Magazine Pavilion which plays host to more than 120 exhibits where visitors can browse and buy home products from fine furniture and garden accessories to clothing, jewellery, arts and crafts.
