The New Website

I created our first website nearly seven years ago and it was way way overdue for a make-over. It took me nearly two years to get to the point of actually doing something about it..why so long you ask?..I really don't know but some things really only happen when the timing is right. In fact I am a firm believer that nearly everything happens when it's time is right. Things that happen when the timing is off always end up going askew. And so,the time came and the painstaking job of negotiating with Mr. Hyper Text Markup Language began.

Obviously it was not really me that did all the gritty work of constructing the new site, but the tortured labour of contemplating what to do, how to do it and how it was going to look in the end felt to me as vast and as unknown as the world wide web. But I was not alone! I am fortunate to have one the the best web designers in South Africa as a very good friend and he slowly but surely, step by agonising step edged me along the precipitous and worrisome path of creating the site. He was consistently positive, calm and upbeat as I went through stages of panic, worry and constant apprehension that it would not turn out the way I saw it all in my head. But finally the day arrived and it was done! And it turned out better than I thought it would ever be...well that's what you get when you have the best of the best doing all the real work. And all my efforts of worrying, wondering and feeling like it will never get there have vanished like mist in the sun.
