Hard Rock Collection

Our most current collections are inspired from the organic shapes of semi precious stones that are still in their rough unpolished state. We love these beautiful rough shapes, they are so organic and individual and therefore makes each design unique and one of a kind.

We then bling them up with a little facetted glass and a little this and that and voila, welcome to our Hard Rock Collection. To compliment the necklaces we have the Hard Rock Bracelets designed with the same principal of mixing unpolished semi precious stones and beautiful beads together.

Jaisalmer is a hot, beautiful and dry northern desert city in India. It's a part of Rajasthan and a popular destination for travelers. Our latest collections are inspired by India as we have recently acquired some very beautiful Kashmir beads so it seemed quite apt to name the collections after some of the famed cities of our favorite destination. It also ties in with the nomadic and eclectic trend that prevails through the seasons. This golden toned little capsule collection is inspired by  golden and sandy tones of Jaisalmer and it's ancient buildings and landscapes.

We have incorporated desert roses and various tones and hues of copper, gold and mustard. Handbaked clay reminiscent of the hot baked desert sands and the hint of Indian pattern and design.

IJL London 2012

Hi'yall..it's been a while but I have been a busy bee. Just a week ago we were in London exhibiting at the International Jewellery London Show. It's a spectacular show that focuses on jewellery only. From diamonds to fine semi precious stones, homegrown UK designers and extraordinary and exotic designs both costume and real from all corners of the world.

We showcased our Fall Winter 2012/13 collections at IJL..I must admit it can be a confusing time of year. At home we are launching our Spring Summer 2012 collections and simultaneously designing and preparing for the European swing into Winter's trends. It's no wonder we are a bit upside down from time to time.

Herewith are some of the storyboards that I created combined with Marzipan's key pieces in the Winter collection.

Of course getting a chance to do some shopping in London is always a girl's sweet tooth, especially this girl. I was happy to find that lots of the women over there were sporting beautiful red lips, I am a firm believer in red lispstick regardless of the boyfriends point of view. And so..always in search of another perfect red I asked a customer I met on the show who had blazing red lips where she bought her red from. It was simply the Boots No 7 red..and it was called Glam! Ha..half of our collectin is called Glam..fate! I found the red Glam, bought stocks and strongly recommend it any red lipstick lover..

We are quite exited about this new product that will feature in our upcoming Summer Collections. Its a fabric cuff that is embellished with applique and beadwork. They have a bit of a punk/glam feel and are definitely statement pieces that can define any outfit.

Today's post is a continuation from yesterday and features the close up images of the jewellery collection that we launched with Rosenwerth at Fashion Week 2012.

The knotted Nest.

This here piece is a puzzle of knots and weaves and sits like a collar and ties up with a long ribbon. We used lots of white and silver for accent, bits of sparkle, fabric and cute little motifs  like birds and leaves.
